Fashion Weekly was started in 2006 by Editor, Rebecca Halse. The idea came together three years earlier when Rebecca was searching on information about how to dress. She has played soccer for 14 years and continues to do so to this day, and always struggled to put outfits together, that suited her body shape.
After much pain and agony, Rebecca decided that the Fashion Industry shouldn't be dictated by designers, models and stores, but by us, the consumers who buy their products. Without us, the Industry would not exist. So the plan was put in place, with the goal to "bring fashion back to reality".
The Fashion Weekly website is based on this idea of being a free information portal for the society of Australia to use and embrace as their own. Something they could use to change their lives for the better no matter how small.
